Road to Sochi

In January 2014 me and the New York based writer Vegard Tenold Aase spent six days on the road in a Lada Niva.
It was a bumpy, crazy ride from Moscow to Sochi. We met many wonderful people along the road.
After nearly 2000 kilometers we arrived in Putins Olympic city of dreams.
It was a stark contrast to the daily life along the highway. 
Modern Russia is somewhere in between.
